Back again....well, it is Friday.

The Friday Thing #377 is all about symbols - they're everywhere in our world, especially my world. But have you ever stopped to think where they came from and why? No, me either (well, maybe a little). I did know the @ sign was popularized by the guys at Bolt, Beranek & Newman as they built the early underpinning of the Internet...but FireWire, Pause, Play, Ethernet. Never had a clue. But now I do thanks to Origins of Common UI Symbols

Okay, time to power off for the weekend. It's been a loooooooong week and a very long Friday.
